I’ve had the opportunity to manage and work directly with Michael and can confidently say that he’s a terrific UX Director, manager, team member, and person.

As a UX Director, he understands the broad spectrum of UX and starts every challenge by thoroughly identifying the existing core problems and utilizes the UX research/strategy/execution process in effective, efficient ways to get to ideal outcomes.

As a manager, Michael is highly empathetic and practical. He’s sensitive to his team’s needs, coaches in ways that truly help people grow and overcome obstacles, but is also not afraid to have hard conversations when they’re needed. His team members have directly expressed how much they respect and appreciate him.

As a team member, Michael is focused on what’s best for the project, program, and people. He’ll do whatever it takes to create that success. If he needs to roll up his sleeves to help push through a challenging deadline, or extend into spaces beyond his role to fill critical gaps, he’ll do it and cheerfully so.

And as a person, Michael is simply a delight to work with. He’s consistently positive, always finding the water in the bottom half of the glass. He’s without a doubt a person you want to be around and have on your team.
